My father started things here at 17 Besant Road a long time ago. Lakshminagar has changed a lot since then. Back then, there weren't so many cars parked on the street. Now, it's a bit of a squeeze getting through sometimes. We just keep doing what we do every day. People come in, they ask for what they need, and we try to find it in the back. Sometimes the inventory is a bit of a mess, but we know where everything sits usually. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fan going. We don't have a big fancy office. It’s just some desks and a lot of paper. Narasima Company isn't a big corporation. We are just local people. I usually get here around nine. Most days are quiet, but some mornings are busy when the deliveries show up. We check the invoices and move boxes around. It's honest work. My neighbor at the tea stall knows us well. We’ve been in this same spot for years. People know us by name here. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. If you walk down Besant Road, you'll see our door. It’s usually open unless it’s raining hard. We handle the paperwork ourselves. It takes time, but it gets done. We aren't trying to be the biggest. We just want to finish the day's work and go home to our families. That's how it has always been here.
