You can find S M F Engineering Co right in the heart of Parrys. We are located at No 137 on Angappa Naicken Street. Our entrance actually faces Errabalu Chetty Street, which can be a bit confusing for people visiting for the first time. Parrys is a very old and crowded part of the city. There’s always a lot of activity, with people carrying loads and vehicles trying to squeeze through the narrow lanes. We’ve been here for many years. The building is old, but it serves us well. Engineering is what we do, and being in such a central trading hub like Parrys helps. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to be very organized with our tools and materials. It’s usually quite loud outside with the traffic and the street vendors. Sometimes it feels like the whole city is passing by our door. We aren't interested in being fancy. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy with the work to worry about that. Most of our regulars know exactly where to find us. They just walk in and we talk about what they need. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We like the energy of Angappa Naicken Street, even if it gets a bit overwhelming at times. There's always tea nearby and someone to talk to, which makes the long days go by faster.
