N S D Engineering Works

N S D Engineering Works is situated at No 4 in Gandhinagar. We are specifically on Gangai Amman Koil Street in the Ekkaduthangal neighborhood. It’s a very busy spot because Ekkaduthangal is known for its engineering shops and small factories. Our street is named after the temple nearby, so we hear the bells and the music during festival times. The shop itself is a typical engineering setup with high ceilings and heavy machines bolted to the floor. It can get quite loud when everything is running at once. We usually have the front shutters halfway up to keep some of the street dust out while letting the air circulate. The walls have some old calendars hanging on them and there is always a layer of fine metal dust on the windows. We aren't big on decorations or fancy office furniture. We just have a couple of stools and a workbench where we spend most of our time. It’s a hands-on kind of place, and most of us have rough hands to prove it. N S D Engineering Works has been at this No 4 spot for quite some time now. We know the local tea seller and the other shopkeepers on Gangai Amman Koil Street. It is just a straightforward life of fixing things and making parts. We don't really think about it much more than that. We just focus on the work on our bench and try to finish before the sun goes down.
