Murali Driving School

We run Murali Driving School out of our office in Saidapet, Chennai. This part of the city, the 600015 area, is always bustling with people and buses. Our office is just a simple place where we keep the registers and help people with their paperwork. It’s nothing special to look at, just a practical space for the business. Most of the day, we are out in the cars with students. Saidapet has some very narrow streets and some very busy main roads, so it’s a good place for people to learn how to handle a car in real traffic. It takes a lot of patience to teach someone how to balance the clutch and the gear, especially when there are people honking behind you. We don't have any big advertisements or a sales team. People usually just see our cars around the neighborhood and give us a call. The weather here in Chennai can be quite draining, so we spend a lot of time drinking water between lessons. We also spend a fair amount of time waiting around at the RTO office for tests to happen. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting followed by a lot of concentration. We’ve been helping people in Saidapet get on the road for a long time. It’s just a regular local service for the folks living in this part of Chennai.
