M/S Venu Engineering

M/S Venu Engineering is over in the Guindy Industrial Estate, specifically at PK 18 in Phase-V. Ekkattuthangal is a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get to work. Our shed is pretty standard for this area. We’ve got some lathes and a welding machine that gets a lot of use. We take on all sorts of repair jobs and small manufacturing tasks. If someone brings in a broken metal part, we see if we can weld it back together or make a new one from scratch. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil, so you have to watch your step. We aren't a big outfit. It’s just me and a couple of helpers. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and picks it up. We don't do any big advertising. Word of mouth has always been enough to keep us busy. Sometimes we get jobs that are a bit over our heads, but we usually find a way to get them done anyway. It’s just how we were taught to work. The heat inside the shed can be quite something during April and May, but we just drink more water and keep going. We’ve been part of the Guindy community for a long time and know most of the neighbors.
