Mr & Mrs Cafe

We are tucked away at number 19, on 1St Main Road in Jai Nagar. Arumbakkam is a very busy and loud place, but our little corner is usually pretty okay. Mr & Mrs Cafe is just the two of us and a couple of local helpers we hired from nearby. We didn’t want to work for a big, cold company anymore, so we decided to open this place instead. It is not a massive space by any means, but we try hard to make it feel like a real home for our guests. Sometimes we have small disagreements on what music to play on the radio or how to set the tables for the lunch rush, but that is just how it goes when you work with your spouse every day. We have got some mismatched chairs we found over time and the menu is just written on a wooden board that we change whenever we feel like cooking something new. It is a neighborhood spot where people come to sit and talk for hours. We don't try to rush anyone out the door once they finish eating. If you want to sit with just one cup of tea for an hour, that is perfectly fine with us. The Jai Nagar area has changed a lot over the years, but we have stayed right here. We don't have a big marketing budget, so we rely on people telling their friends about us.
