Micro Machines is our little spot in Balaji Nagar. We are located at No:260-G on Advaita Ashram Road. It’s a busy road with a lot of shops and people walking by. We focus on small electronics and gadgets. The workbench is always cluttered with tiny screws that I occasionally lose on the floor. I spend half my time looking for them with a flashlight. The shop isn't much to look at, just a few shelves and a counter that we built ourselves. We have a radio that stays on the same station all day because the dial is broken. The music is okay, mostly old hits. Advaita Ashram Road gets really dusty, so we have to wipe down the equipment every single morning. It’s a bit of a chore. Most of our customers are locals who have known us for years. They bring in all sorts of things, from old radios to modern phones. We don't have any fancy diagnostic tools, just our eyes and some basic meters. It’s a slow process sometimes, but we don't like to rush. There’s a cat that hangs around the back alley; we call him Micro. He doesn't do much but sleep. We enjoy the work, even when it’s frustrating. It feels good when you finally hear a machine click back to life after hours of trying. That is basically what we do here every day.
