Metro Signs

Metro Signs is tucked away at 29 Linghi Chetty Street in George Town. We are right behind the Thambu Chetty bus stop, which makes it easy for people to find us if they know the area. George Town is always crowded and loud, but we like being in the middle of it all. Our shop is where we put together various signs. We have been here for a good while. The building is old, like most things in this part of town, but it’s sturdy. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything. It’s just us working with the materials we have. We do a lot of manual work here. Sometimes the street gets so busy it's hard to unload supplies, but we manage. People stop by on their way from the bus stop quite often. We’ve got our tools and our benches set up inside. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a big project going on. We don’t do anything too fancy, just solid work that stays put. Being in George Town means you meet all sorts of people. We just keep the door open and stay busy with whatever comes in. It’s an honest way to make a living and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of Linghi Chetty Street. There is always the sound of traffic outside but inside we just focus on the task. It's nothing too special, just our daily work.
