Merina Motor Driving School

Merina Motor Driving School is located in Mylapore, right near Malthy Matriculation School. If you know that area in Chennai, we are at No. 54/41. We spend our mornings and evenings out on the roads teaching people how to handle a car. It is a lot of clutch and brake practice. The traffic in Chennai can be a bit much, especially for beginners, so we stay patient. Our office is a small space where we do the registration and talk about the rules of the road. We have a few cars that we use for the lessons. Most people come to us because they live nearby or their kids go to the school down the street. It’s a local operation. We don’t have a big fleet or anything, just enough to keep the schedule full. Sometimes the rain messes up the lessons but we work around it. Teaching someone to drive for the first time is always an experience. You see all kinds of nerves. We just sit in the passenger seat and give directions. It’s been our routine for years now. Mylapore is a busy place with tight corners, so it’s actually a good spot to learn how to navigate. We keep the logbooks updated and make sure the cars are running okay. It’s just us doing our bit to get people their licenses and feel okay behind the wheel. We enjoy the work and seeing people get better at driving every single week.
