Running a catering business from Sakthi Vel Nagar keeps us on our feet all day long. We are located at No 4, right on the First Cross Street in Peravallur. Periyar Nagar is a nice neighborhood to work in, though it gets a bit crowded when we are trying to load up the delivery trucks. We handle a lot of big pots and heavy pans every single day. It is hard work, starting early in the morning before the sun is even up properly. Our kitchen is where most of the action happens. We spend hours chopping vegetables and cooking. It is not always perfect; sometimes a delivery truck is late or we run out of a specific spice and have to send someone to the market quickly. We just try to get the food where it needs to go. Most people in the area know us by now. We do not have a big office or anything, just our workspace here in Chennai. It is a family-run kind of thing, so everyone chips in when there is a big order to finish. Sometimes we end up working through the night for a morning function.
