Meenakshi Ammal Dental College

Our dental college is located out in Maduravoyal, Chennai. It’s a pretty busy spot with a lot of people coming and going throughout the day. The building is large and has that typical institutional look you see in Tamil Nadu. We have a lot of students here who are training to be dentists, so you’ll see people in white lab coats everywhere. It’s not just a place for classes; we also have clinics where local people come to get their teeth looked at. It can get quite crowded in the waiting areas, and the smell of antiseptic is something you just get used to after a day or two. The weather in Chennai is usually hot, so the corridors can feel a bit stuffy, but we have fans going all the time. We don't have a fancy PR department or a polished corporate vibe. We are just a place where people learn a trade and help the community with their dental issues. The labs are full of equipment that gets a lot of use, so things aren't always sparkling new, but they work fine. We’ve got a canteen that serves basic food for the students and staff. It’s a functional, hardworking environment. No one here is trying to be something they aren't. We just focus on the teeth and the textbooks. It’s a long day for everyone, but it’s a good place to be if you’re serious about this work.
