Our business, Meena Medical Distributors, is located on Yemi Street in Purasawalkam. It’s right at No. 2, and if you’ve ever been to this part of Chennai, you know it’s always moving. Purasawalkam is a hub for all sorts of trade, and we fit into that as distributors. Our day usually starts early with crates and boxes arriving or being loaded onto small vans. The warehouse space is packed with medical supplies, and there’s a constant smell of cardboard and new packaging. It’s not a quiet office job; there’s always someone shouting out an order number or checking a manifest. The street outside is narrow, so maneuvering trucks can be a real challenge sometimes, especially when the shoppers start filling up the nearby lanes. We deal with pharmacies and hospitals all over the city and beyond. The team here is used to the heat and the fast pace. We have a few desks tucked away in the back for the billing and paperwork, which never seems to end. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy lobby because we aren't that kind of place. We’re more about the logistics of moving goods from one place to another. Most of the guys have been working here for years, so we have a rhythm.
