Maruthi Office Equipment is based in the Maruthi Complex, which is at New No. 152 on Jawaharlal Nehru Salai in Arumbakkam. We’ve been in this part of Chennai for many years. Our building is a bit older, but it serves us well. We deal with all sorts of things that offices need to run—desks, chairs, filing cabinets, and the like. The ground floor is usually where we keep the most common items so people can see them. It’s not a fancy showroom with spotlights; it’s more like a crowded warehouse where things are stacked up. We spend our time answering phones, helping people find the right chair, or coordinating deliveries. Arumbakkam is a busy area, so getting the delivery trucks in and out of Jawaharlal Nehru Salai can be a challenge during peak hours. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the traffic. The staff here are mostly locals who have been with us a while. We don't use a lot of big words or marketing strategies. If someone needs a sturdy desk, we show them what we have. It’s a very straightforward way of doing business. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty from all the cardboard and bubble wrap, but we try to keep it decent. We are just a regular local business trying to provide practical items for other offices. We like the area and the people who stop by. It’s a busy, functional place.
