Mars Export

Our office is located at 13, 1st Lane, just off Nungambakkam High Road. It’s a busy part of Chennai, and finding a parking spot near the lane can be a real headache some days. We’ve been running Mars Export from this building for a while now. It’s a small office with a couple of desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We deal with various goods for export, mostly handling the paperwork and coordinating with the shipping agents. It’s a lot of time spent on the phone or waiting for emails to come through. The room is a bit cramped because of all the sample boxes we have lying around. We don't have a big staff, just me and two assistants who help with the documentation. The air conditioner is old and makes a humming noise, but we need it in this heat. Sometimes we have to stay late to talk to people in different time zones. It’s not the most exciting work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. We don't have a showroom since everything we handle goes straight to the port. If you’re looking for us, the lane is quite narrow, so it’s better to walk in from the main road. We just try to keep things moving and avoid any delays at the customs office. Most of our day is spent tracking containers and checking invoice numbers. We keep a stack of old newspapers in the corner to wrap things.
