Madras Consultancy Group is located on Jyothi Ramalingam Street. If you’re looking for the place, it’s New No 54, but some of the older maps might still show it as Old No 21. That happens a lot around here with the numbering changes. We’ve been on this street for quite some time now, and we like the vibe of the neighborhood. It’s a consultancy, so we spend most of our hours inside at our desks, talking through problems and trying to find answers for people who ask for our help. The building itself is pretty plain, just a regular structure on a regular street. We don’t have a big lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Usually, you just walk in and see us working. We started out small and we’ve stayed that way because it’s easier to manage things ourselves. Jyothi Ramalingam Street can get a bit busy during the morning rush, but it quietens down after that. We just focus on the projects we have at hand. We don’t do a lot of fancy marketing or try to sound like a big multinational firm. We’re just local people providing some advice and doing our bit. Sometimes the mail still comes to the old number, but we eventually get it. It’s just how things work in this part of town and we’ve learned to deal with it over the years while we work.
