This specific branch is at No. 10 Club House Road. It is just off Annasalai, though most of the people around here still call it Mount Road. It’s right in the heart of the city of Chennai. We deal with electrical standard products in this building. The office stays busy mostly because of where it’s located. There are always people coming in and out for various things. It’s an old part of the city with a whole lot of history behind it. We have a lot of stock to manage on the shelves. The warehouse area is full of switchgear and other electrical parts. It’s actually a lot to keep track of every day. We use a computer system for the inventory, but sometimes it’s just easier to go and look at the shelf yourself. The staff here knows the product catalog pretty well by heart. We don’t really do any big sales pitches or marketing. People usually come to us because they need very specific parts for their buildings. We just find the right item in the back and get the paperwork done for them. The traffic out on Mount Road is legendary and usually terrible. Most of us try to get into the office early to avoid the worst part of the jam. We have tea breaks where we talk about the local cricket scores and the weather. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. It’s a landmark for our team.
