You can find us in West K K Nagar, Chennai, at Hollywood Apartments, No C1. We are on Jawahar Street, tucked behind the Pondychery Guesthouse. It is a residential part of town, so it feels a bit more relaxed than the city center, though the Chennai heat is the same everywhere. The office for Lic Of India here is basically a converted apartment space. It has a very homey feel to it, which we think makes people feel more comfortable when they visit. We spend our time managing life insurance policies and helping people with their claims or new applications. There are usually a few of us working at the main table, surrounded by stacks of paper that seem to never get smaller. The sounds of the street, like the occasional coconut seller or the hum of scooters, come through the windows. We don't have a big corporate sign out front, just the address. People come in, sit on the chairs we have lined up, and we go through their files together. It is a very hands-on way of working. We don't use much technology beyond the basics because we find that pen and paper still work best for many things. It is a simple, honest setup in a nice part of Chennai. We just focus on getting the daily work done and making sure every person who visits leaves with their questions answered without any extra hassle.
