You can find us over at 6, Jay Somnath Society, right opposite the Aroma School in the Usmanpura area of Ahmedabad. It is a busy part of the city, and having the school right across from us means there is always a lot of activity and noise, especially in the mornings and afternoons. Our office is part of a residential society, so it doesn't feel like a cold corporate building at all. It’s more like a house where we have set up our workstations. The name we go by is Larsen Toubro Limted, and we handle a variety of tasks from this Gujarat branch. The interior is quite simple. We have our computers, some printers that act up occasionally, and plenty of chairs for everyone. It gets very hot in Ahmedabad, so we mostly stay indoors and keep the AC or the fans running all day long. We don't have any of that polished marketing look. It’s just a place where people work. We know each other well and the atmosphere is pretty casual. We usually share snacks in the afternoon and talk about what’s going on in the city. Our focus is just on getting through the workload and making sure the records are kept straight. It’s a practical, everyday kind of workplace where we just do our jobs and then head home through the Ahmedabad traffic at the end of the day.
