Our office is over on 2nd Street in Vigneswara Nagar. If you know Madipakkam, you know it’s a quiet enough area but still close to the main parts of Chennai. L&T Infotech is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It’s Plot No 34, and it is a pretty standard building with nothing too special about it. We do a lot of information technology work, which means lots of screens and too much coffee. The team here is a mix of people from all over. Some have been here since we first opened this branch, and others are pretty new. We don’t really go in for those big corporate speeches. We just show up, log in, and handle the tasks for the day. Sometimes the internet acts up or the rain makes the street a bit messy, but we manage. Madipakkam is a good spot for us because it’s not as chaotic as the city center. We have a routine that works. Morning meetings are usually short because we would rather just get to the work. We bring our lunches and eat together in the small break area. It’s not some high-tech campus, just a practical space where we can focus on what we are doing. We’ve got some plants by the window that one of the staff keeps alive. It feels more like a workspace than a showroom. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers recognize us. It’s just how we run things here.
