Ladder

Our place is tucked away on Perumal Road, right near the Woodlands Theatre in Royapettah. It is a useful spot to be in because almost everyone knows the theatre, so we don't have to spend a lot of time explaining how to find us. The office is at number 12. Inside, it is a very basic setup with just some old desks, a few chairs, and filing cabinets that have definitely seen better days. Most of our day is spent talking to people who walk in and dealing with piles of paperwork that seem to never end. It can get quite stuffy in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the building, so we always have the fan running at full speed. Being in Royapettah means there is a constant buzz of noise from the street, especially when a new movie is playing at the theatre nearby. We have been here for a good while now and we know most of the people who work in the surrounding shops. We aren't trying to be anything special or fancy. We just do the work that needs doing and head home once the day is over. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow which gives us a chance to talk to whoever is visiting. It is a straightforward kind of life in this office. We don't have bright signs or big displays, just a small door on a busy road where we try to keep things moving.
