Kothari Distributors

Kothari Distributors is tucked away at Number 13 on Erulappan Street. If you know George Town, you know how busy it gets around Elephant Gate. It is one of those old parts of the city where the streets are narrow and there is always something happening. We have been operating out of this building for a long time. It’s a distribution business, so there is a lot of loading and unloading going on throughout the day. Boxes are stacked up pretty high, and sometimes it feels like we are running out of room, but we manage to fit everything in. The noise from the street is constant, with horns honking and people shouting, but that is just the energy of George Town. We aren't a corporate office with air conditioning in every corner. It’s more of a practical warehouse space where we keep track of inventory and make sure orders get out to the shops that need them. Our staff has been with us for years, and they know the layout of these streets better than anyone. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but we like the location because it’s right in the heart of the trade area. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just focus on the boxes and the ledgers. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially when a big delivery arrives, but we always find a way to get through the list by the end of the day.
