Hindustan Home Needs

If you know the Ayanavaram area, you probably know where the bus depot is. We are right opposite that, at 23/G, Anderson Road. Being Hindustan Home Needs means we deal with a lot of different things people need for their houses. It’s a busy spot because of the buses coming and going all day. The shop stays quite active. We’ve got shelves full of stuff, and sometimes it feels like we’re running out of room, but we always find a place for new stock. It’s not a supermarket style where everything is perfect. It’s more of a traditional shop where we know where everything is, even if it looks a bit crowded to someone else. We’ve been here for a long time. People stop by on their way home from work or after getting off the bus. We talk to the regulars about their families while we look for the specific item they need. It’s a simple way of doing business. We don’t do much advertising; people just know we are here. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon gets a bit much, so we keep the fans going full blast. It’s a practical life, making sure folks have what they need for their kitchens or bathrooms. We just take it one day at a time, keeping the shelves stocked and the door open for whoever walks in. It is just our way of life in this busy neighborhood.
