Dankotuwa Porcelain Limited

We’ve been here at No. 14 on Dr. Natesan Salai for quite some time now. Some people still know the spot as Old No. 13, which sometimes confuses the delivery drivers who are looking for us in Ashok Nagar. It’s a busy little area. Mostly, we spend our mornings unpacking crates and checking for any chips or cracks in the plates and bowls. Porcelain is tricky stuff to move around, so we have to be careful. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside, but it stays fairly cool inside even when the sun is hitting the street hard. Most of the folks who walk in are looking for a nice gift or maybe just a replacement for a saucer they broke at home. We try to keep things organized on the shelves, though it gets a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives. Sometimes the tea we make in the back gets cold because we're busy showing someone the different patterns we have in stock. It’s just us here at Dankotuwa Porcelain Limited, keeping the place running and making sure the displays don't get too dusty. It can be a long day sitting among all these white dishes, but it's what we do. If you're walking down the road near the junction, you'll see our sign. It’s just a regular workplace where we handle the day-to-day business of selling porcelain to whoever needs it.
