Sun Engineering Works

We’ve been at Sun Engineering Works for quite some time now, set up right here at Plot No. 5 in the Gopal Reddy Estate. It’s on Milk Colony Road in Kodungaiyur, which most folks around here know well. We mostly handle day-to-day metal work and repairs for the neighbors and local shops. It gets pretty loud in the workshop during the day, but that is just how it goes when you’re cutting and welding stuff. The shop isn't fancy at all. We have our tools laid out where we can find them and some old benches for the guys to sit on. Sometimes the traffic on Milk Colony Road makes it hard for deliveries to pull in, so we usually tell people to come by early. We started out small and stayed that way, mostly because we like knowing everyone who walks through the door. It’s just me and a few others doing the actual work. We don't have a big office or anything, just a desk with a lot of papers on it. If you need something fixed or a part made, you just walk in and ask. We try to get things done when we say we will, though sometimes jobs take a bit longer if a machine breaks down. It's a busy place with a lot of grease and iron dust around, but it's what we do.
