King Blue Metal

You can find us on South Sivan Koil Street in Vadapalani. The address is a bit confusing because it used to be Old 11 and now it is New 19, so we spend a lot of time telling people that on the phone. We are right in the middle of a busy area. We handle blue metal, which is basically crushed stone for building things. It is a lot of noise and heavy lifting. The yard is quite small for what we do, so we have to be really careful how we park the trucks. Sometimes the street gets blocked and the neighbors get a bit annoyed, but we try to move fast to clear the way. It is just a handful of us working here. We do not wear uniforms or anything like that; just old clothes that can get dirty. There is a tea shop right around the corner where we usually go when things quiet down for a minute. The office is just a tiny room with a desk and a couple of chairs that have seen better years. We do not have any big mission statements, we just sell stone and try to get it to the sites on time. It is hard work, especially when the weather is bad and the stones get slippery, but it is what we do. Everyone in the neighborhood knows the sound of our trucks by now and they know where to find us.
