Chemo Metal

Our office is tucked away on the second floor of 240 Thambu Chetty Street. If you know this part of the city, you know how narrow and crowded these streets can get. It’s an old building, and the stairs are a bit steep, but it’s where we’ve set up Chemo Metal. Most days are spent on the phone or checking lists of metal stock. It’s not a shiny showroom. We have stacks of files and some samples of the materials we deal with lying around on the desks. Thambu Chetty Street has a lot of history with trade, and we feel like a small part of that old routine. Dealing with metals means a lot of technical specs and weight calculations, so there’s always a calculator buzzing somewhere in the room. It gets quite loud outside with the horns and the people shouting, but we’re used to it. Sometimes the tea man comes by, and that’s when we take a short break from the paperwork. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us making sure the metal gets where it needs to go. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but the way we handle our business stays pretty much the same. It’s about being reliable and showing up every morning to answer the calls. Just a regular metal trading office doing its thing in a busy corner of town.
