You can find Metro Metals right at 297, Mint Street. This part of town is always moving, and it has been that way as long as I can remember. Our shop is right in the thick of it. It is a narrow place, like most on this street, so we have to be smart about how we stack the metal. Sometimes it feels like we are playing a game of Tetris just to get to the back of the room. We do not have air conditioning, so we keep the doors wide open and listen to the street sounds all day long. People come in looking for bits of brass or copper, or maybe just some scrap. We do not mind if the order is small or big. It is all the same work to us. The floor is old stone and it has got plenty of scratches from years of dragging heavy things across it. We do not bother with fancy displays. The metal is the metal, and people know what they are looking for when they walk in. I have been working here since I was much younger, and the street hasn't changed much, even if the shops around us have. We drink our coffee while watching the crowds outside. It is a busy life, but I would not know what else to do with my time. Just a regular metal shop on a very busy street, doing what we have always done for the locals.
