Bombay Metals

We are located at No. 20, Mooker Nallamuthu Street. It is right in the heart of a very old and crowded part of the city. If you have ever been down this particular street, you know exactly how narrow it is and how much activity there is at all hours of the day. We deal in all sorts of metals. Our shop is packed from the floor to the ceiling with our stock. It is not the easiest place to navigate if you are a visitor, but we know exactly where every single item is kept. We spend most of our time weighing out orders and cutting pieces of metal to size for people. It is heavy work and the heat in the summer can be quite something inside the shop walls. We do not have air conditioning or anything fancy like that. We just keep the old fans going and get on with the work. Many of our customers have been coming to us for years because they know we are reliable and we have what they need. We do not use any fancy sales tactics or marketing. We just tell you the price per kilo and that is the end of it. Sometimes we have to move big stacks of pipes or sheets just to get to something at the very back. The ledger on our counter is filled with hand-written entries. It is an old way of doing things.
