Karaneeswarar Driving School

Karaneeswarar Driving School is located at No. 2 in Saidapet, right near the State Bank of India ATM. It is a busy little corner of Chennai, and we are usually out on the road more than we are in the office. This isn't one of those fancy places with simulators or high-tech classrooms. We think it is much better to just get behind the wheel and figure it out on the actual streets. Being near the ATM means there are always people walking around, so our students have to learn to be careful right from the start. The office is just a small room where we handle the paperwork for the licenses and talk to new students about the fees. We've been doing this in Saidapet for a good while now, so we know all the quiet streets where beginners can practice and all the tricky intersections that often scare them. The cars are a bit older, and the gear shifts can be a little stiff, but that's how you really learn to handle a vehicle. It gets very hot during the day, and sometimes the traffic is just standing still, but we just sit there and wait it out. Most of our students come from nearby, and they usually find us just by walking past the sign or hearing from a relative who learned here. It’s just a simple, local way to help people get mobile. We keep things pretty straightforward and don't make it more complicated than it needs to be.
