Working at Cura Healthcare Private Limited out of MEPZ SEZ in Tambaram means we follow a certain routine. Our office is at A-32 in Phase-1. It’s a big industrial zone, so there are always people moving about and security checks to deal with at the gate. We are in the healthcare sector, focusing on medical devices and that sort of thing. The space is large because we need the room for all the technical equipment we handle. It’s not like a regular office; it’s more of a facility where things are being checked and moved constantly. The air conditioning is always on high because the machines need it, and it makes the summer heat in Tambaram a lot more bearable. We have a lot of staff coming in from different parts of Chennai, so the morning rush is always a bit chaotic. Once everyone is at their station, though, it settles down into a steady hum of work. We don’t go in for fancy talk or corporate slogans. We just have a lot of stuff to get through every day to keep the healthcare providers supplied. The canteen is where most of us catch up during the breaks. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but it’s what we do. Being in the SEZ means we have to be quite organized with our paperwork, which keeps the admin team busy all day long.
