We are located in Chennai, at A4 Sreechakra Apartments on Lakshminagar 46th Road in Nanagaur. It’s a residential apartment building, so it doesn't look like a TV station from the outside. We use one of the units as our base of operations. It’s a bit tight inside with all the cameras, tripods, and editing desks squeezed into the rooms. We’ve had to run cables along the walls and rearrange the furniture to make it all fit. The building is typical for this part of Chennai, with the usual sounds of the neighborhood drifting in. You can hear the traffic from the main road and the occasional vendor shouting outside. Because we are in an apartment, we have to be careful about not making too much noise late at night. The lighting inside is a bit bright because of the studio lamps we use. We don't have a proper reception area; people just walk straight into the workspace. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so the air conditioner is usually running full blast, though it struggles sometimes. We spend a lot of time editing footage and planning our next shoots. It’s a busy, somewhat messy place with tapes and batteries lying around on the tables. It’s just a small team of us working here to keep the channel going. It’s not glamorous, but we get the work done. The parking outside is a bit of a nightmare, but we manage. We just make do with what we have.
