You can find Iyappan Engineering Industries Pvt.Ltd. over at Plot No.107/A in the Sidco Industrial Estate in Ambattur. Ambattur is a busy place, full of workshops and factories. We are right in the middle of all that noise. Our plot has been our home for quite some time now. The constant hum of the industrial estate is something you just get used to after a week. We do a lot of heavy engineering work here. The machines are old but they work well because we take care of them ourselves. The floor is usually covered in a bit of oil and metal shavings. That’s just how it is in a real engineering shop. We have a crew that’s been with us through many years. We don't really do the whole corporate meeting thing. Usually, we just talk over the machines or during the tea break in the afternoon. The Sidco estate is always humming with activity, trucks moving in and out constantly. We handle a lot of different parts and assemblies every day. Sometimes the heat in the shed gets pretty intense during the summer months. We just open the big doors to let the breeze in. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. We just focus on the metal and the specs we are given. It’s a place where work comes first. If you walk in, you’ll see people who know exactly what they are doing.
