Down in the Guindy Industrial Estate at Ekkaduthangal, you’ll find us at Plot No-20 in the North Phase. Ito Precision Technologies Pvt Ltd is situated right in that developed plots section. Guindy is one of those places that’s always buzzing with the sound of metal being worked. Our shop floor has its fair share of precision tools and equipment. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, as there’s always a bit of oil or metal shavings around, but that’s the nature of precision work. We have a small office attached to the workshop where we look over the blueprints and handle the orders. Most of the staff here have very steady hands and a lot of patience because the stuff we make has to be exact. If it’s off by a hair, it’s no good. We don’t spend money on fancy signage or big ad campaigns. People in the estate know us because we’ve been here and we do the work. It gets incredibly hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer, but we keep the fans going and keep moving. We’re just a bunch of technicians and engineers who enjoy the challenge of making things fit together perfectly. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s satisfying to see a finished part leave the shop. We just take things one project at a time and try to stay busy.
