Iss Integerated Facility Services - Cognizant Technologies

Our office is on the first floor at 6/55, 4th Street North Thirumalai Nagar in Villivakkam. It’s a bit of a long name, Iss Integerated Facility Services - Cognizant Technologies, but we just show up and do the work every day. Chennai gets so hot that the walk up to the first floor feels longer than it is. We handle facility stuff. It means a lot of checking lists and making sure the lights stay on and the floors stay clean. It’s not very exciting work, but it’s steady. We have a few desks and a lot of paperwork. The street outside is usually full of bikes. We’ve been in this part of Villivakkam for a while now. Sometimes the AC in the office makes a weird rattling noise, but we just ignore it. We aren't some big high-rise corporate office. It’s just a regular building with regular people working inside. We try to stay on top of things but sometimes there are delays with the supplies. We just do our best with what we have. Most of the staff takes the bus or rides their scooters to get here. We usually eat lunch together at the small shop downstairs. It’s just a normal job in a normal neighborhood. We have a lot of plastic folders piled up in the corner that we really should sort through one of these days. Every morning we start by making a big pot of coffee and checking the schedule for the local sites.
