Our Chennai office for Intersoft Data Labs Pvt Ltd is right in the middle of Kodambakkam at Flat No 23 in the Vinayagar Apartments. It’s on Andavar Nagar 2nd Street, which is a busy little road. Working out of an apartment makes the whole day feel a bit more relaxed than being in a giant tech park. We have our workstations set up in the main rooms, and the kitchen is where we usually end up talking about things that aren't work. The Chennai heat is something we just deal with using the fans and the AC when it gets really bad. We focus on data projects and keeping things organized for the people we work with. It’s a lot of routine stuff, like checking entries and making sure the systems are talking to each other correctly. We don’t have a big fancy sign outside, just the door number. Most of the staff live nearby, so we don’t have those long commutes that some people have to suffer through. It’s a simple, honest way to run a business. We know the neighbors and the guy who sells snacks at the corner. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to do our work well and go home at a decent hour.
