Ing Vysya. Life Insurance

Our office for Ing Vysya Life Insurance is on the first floor of Nithyam Apartments. We are right on North Park Street in Chennai. It’s an apartment building, so it feels more like a home than a stiff office. We’ve got desks set up where the living room and bedrooms used to be. Working in Chennai means we deal with a lot of heat, so the fans are always going full blast to keep the air moving. We spend most of our time going through insurance papers and talking to families about their plans. It’s a lot of numbers and dates, which can get a bit dry after a few hours, but we stay busy. People come by to drop off documents or ask questions about their policies. Since we are in an apartment block, we see our neighbors coming and going, which is nice. We aren't a massive corporate headquarters; we are just a local branch doing our part. The kitchen in the back is where we keep the kettle, and there is always someone making a cup of coffee or tea. We don't have a big sign on the roof, just a small one by the gate so people know where to turn. The stairs can be a bit steep if you aren't used to them, but it’s good exercise. It’s a quiet enough spot for us to focus on the paperwork without too many distractions.
