We've been over here on 3rd Street in Bharathiyar Nagar for a while now. Most people just call us Index Career Consultants. It’s a busy spot in Chennai-57. Basically, we help folks figure out what to do with their work lives. It isn't always easy, and the office gets a bit hectic when a lot of people show up at once. We handle things like resumes and pointing people toward open spots at different companies. It started out pretty small, just a few of us wanting to help the local crowd find something decent to do for a living. You can find us at No: 8/39 if you're walking around the neighborhood. Sometimes the fans are loud and it’s hot, but we get through the paperwork. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything. Just desks, computers, and a lot of folders. People come in, sit down, and we talk about where they’ve worked before. It’s mostly just chatting and trying to see where they might fit in next. The traffic on the road outside can be a bit much in the mornings. We just try to keep things moving and help whoever walks through the door. It’s been that way since we opened up. We know the local market pretty well by now. It’s just us doing what we can from this corner of Chennai. Nothing fancy, just work. We keep a stack of newspapers in the corner for when the internet is slow. It’s a good way to see what else is happening in the city while we wait for calls to come in.
