In Resume

Our little office for In Resume is tucked away on Muppan Maestry Street in Kodambakkam. It’s a typical Chennai street, always something going on outside. We’ve been here for a bit now, mostly helping folks get their paperwork in order when they’re looking for a new job. Writing a resume is one of those things everyone hates doing, so we just take that off their hands for a while. We aren't some big multinational firm with a glass building. It’s just a room with some desks and computers where we sit and figure out how to make someone's work history look decent on paper. Sometimes the neighborhood gets noisy, especially during rush hour, but we’re used to it. People stop by, sometimes with a printed copy of their old CV that’s ten years out of date, and we sit down and talk through what they’ve been doing. It’s honest work. We don’t use any special software that promises miracles, just common sense and some typing. The fans hum overhead, and we spend a lot of time looking at screens. Chennai is a big place for jobs, so there’s always someone needing a bit of help. We try to keep our prices fair because we know what it’s like to be between jobs. It’s a simple setup we’ve got here, nothing fancy to look at, but it gets the job done for the locals and whoever else walks in.
