Our office is located at 162 14 in Mangallam Colony, which is in the Thirumangalam part of Anna Nagar West. Chennai can get very hot. We spend a lot of our time making sure the fans are pointed in the right direction so we can actually get some work done. It is much quieter in this colony than on the main roads nearby. This is something we all appreciate during a long day. We are a small group of people here and we mostly just handle our daily business without making a big deal out of it. The building itself is a bit older and has some quirks, but it serves our needs well enough for now. We have our desks set up in a way that allows us to talk to each other without having to get up from our chairs. There is a tiny corner for tea and snacks. That is where we usually hang out during our afternoon breaks. People in the neighborhood know us as the local office guys. We often walk to the shops nearby to get something for lunch. It is nice being in a residential area. It doesn't feel cold or industrial like some other parts of the city. We have a steady routine. We start our work early to avoid the worst of the humidity. We don't have any big meetings. It is just us working through our list of things to do every day here in Chennai.
