Our place is located at No.9 in Pillai Thottam, which sits inside Thiligar Nagar in the Ennore area of Chennai. If you know Chennai-57, you know it’s got that specific coastal feel. The air is a bit salty and it gets quite humid in the afternoons. Hurix Systems has been operating out of this spot for a bit now. It’s a plain building, nothing that stands out from the other structures on the street. We have some desks and chairs set up, and the internet cables are everywhere. It isn't a high-rise glass building. It’s more of a local setup where we just come in and do our work. The walk from the main road isn't too long, but in the heat, it feels longer. There is a small shop nearby where we get water and snacks. Most days are pretty routine. We arrive, log in, and handle whatever systems work is on the plate for the day. Sometimes the street gets a bit noisy with kids playing or people moving things around, but we are used to it by now. It’s a practical space. We don’t have fancy art on the walls or a lounge area. It is just a place to sit down and get things finished. We like being in this part of Ennore because it feels real and not like a sanitized business park. The fans run all day to keep us cool while we work.
