Our office is No 46B on Kamaraj Street in Thiruvalluvar Nagar, which is right in the Ayanavaram area. It’s a busy local neighborhood in Chennai 23. This is where the Hr Recruiter team operates from every day. The street outside is usually pretty lively with people going about their morning business, and our office is just a small part of that local scene. Inside the room, it’s just the usual office things like piles of files, a couple of old PCs, and some pens that usually don’t work when you need them to. We spend the whole day helping people find jobs and helping local companies find the staff they need. It’s not very glamorous work, to be honest. We get a lot of local folks coming in through the door asking if there’s anything new posted on the board. We don't have a big corporate philosophy or any fancy values written on the wall; we just do the work that needs doing. It involves a lot of listening to what people want and trying to figure out if they’re actually going to show up for the job they say they want. Ayanavaram has a lot of history to it, and we like being based here instead of in some sterile business park in the outskirts. The Chennai heat can be a bit much in the summer, but we manage with the fans. We're just a regular agency where people can actually talk to a human being.
