Hr-Executive

I am working as an Hr-Executive and our small office is located at Number 3 on 8th Street in Annai Sivagami Nagar. This is over in the Ennore area of Chennai, right near the coast where the air always has that salty smell from the sea. The office is tucked away in a residential street, so it is not very easy to find if you are not from around here. We handle a lot of recruitment and paperwork for the industries nearby. My day usually involves looking through stacks of resumes and calling up candidates to see if they want to come in for an interview. The room is quite small with just a few desks and a cupboard for all the employee files we have to keep. Because Ennore is a bit industrial, there is often some dust in the air, but we keep the doors shut and just focus on the computer work. People from the neighborhood often drop by to ask about job openings or to submit their papers. It is a very basic operation without any marketing or big budgets, just a place where we try to match people with the right jobs. Sometimes the phone rings all day and other times it is quiet enough to hear the traffic from the main road. We just do our best to keep the hiring process moving along for the local companies.
