You can find Hcl at 3 J Ratna Apartments in Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600 042. It is an apartment building, so the office feels very domestic. We are on the third floor. There is no lift, so we all get our exercise walking up the stairs every morning. Chennai heat can be tough, especially in an older building like Ratna Apartments, but we have some fans that keep the air moving. The rooms are filled with desks and computers, and it’s a bit of a maze with all the wires running along the floor. We handle our daily operations here in a very low-key manner. There are no corporate logos on the walls or uniforms for the staff. We just wear what is comfortable and get to work. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, which is nice for concentrating on the books and the client files. Sometimes the sounds of the city drift in through the windows. We’ve been at this location for some time now and we know the neighbors well. It is a small team and we all pitch in with everything, from answering the phone to making sure the door is locked at night. It is just a simple Chennai business. We don’t try to be anything we are not. We just stay busy with the work for Hcl and keep things moving as best as we can. It’s a normal life for us.
