We’ve been here at Natarajan Street for quite a while now. If you know West Saidapet, you know how busy it gets around Sekar Nagar. Our office is tucked into No. 18/23, and it’s usually humming with the sound of computers and people talking on headsets. It isn't a fancy glass tower like you see in the movies, just a practical place where we get the BPO work done day in and day out. Most of us take the bus or ride our scooters through the narrow lanes to get here every morning. Sometimes the power goes out or the traffic is a nightmare, but we manage. We handle a lot of calls and data for clients, and the floor stays busy even late into the night. There’s a tea stall just down the road where everyone gathers during breaks to talk about cricket or politics. It’s a lot of sitting and typing, but we have a good group of people here who look out for each other. The office isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but inside we’re always moving. We don't really do the corporate talk much; we just focus on finishing the logs and making sure the shifts transition smoothly. It’s hard work, and the fans are always spinning to keep the Chennai heat at bay while we stare at our screens. Most of the time we’re just too busy to worry about much else.
