Hardware

Our shop, simply called Hardware, is located at No 42 W3 on Kabul Kandikai Street. We are out in the Manavur area, which is part of the Thiruvallur district. It is a bit of a drive from the main city, but we like it out here. The shop is full of all sorts of things you might need for fixing up a house or a farm. We have shelves stacked pretty high, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for. It is just me and my family running the place most of the time. We don't have a computer system for everything; we mostly just know where things are by heart. If we don't have something, we usually tell people where else they might find it. The street can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but the shop stays fairly cool. People from the nearby villages stop by on their way home to grab nails, tools, or whatever else broke that morning. We aren't looking to grow into a massive chain or anything like that. Staying small and local works just fine for us. We've been on Kabul Kandikai Street for years and the neighbors are all friendly. It is a simple life, opening up early and closing when the sun goes down. If you need something specific, you can just ask and we will see what's in the back.
