Hakim Hardware Mart

Hakim Hardware Mart is located in the Parrys area at New No.25 which is also known as Plot No. 13 on Mooker Nallamuthu Street. To get to us you actually have to use the entrance on Vannier Street and come up to the 2nd floor. Parrys is an incredibly busy and crowded part of the city and these streets are always full of people and carts moving goods around. Our shop is on the second floor so it is a bit away from the chaos of the street level but it is still quite packed inside. We have hardware of all kinds piled up on shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It can be a bit of a climb up the stairs with heavy items but that is just part of being in this old neighborhood. The building itself has been around for a long time and you can see the history in the walls and the narrow hallways. We deal with a lot of different traders and local builders who need specific hardware supplies that are hard to find elsewhere. Most of our day is spent navigating the narrow aisles of the shop and helping people find exactly what they need. It is a bit dark inside because the windows are small but we have plenty of lights. Running a business in Parrys is always a challenge because of the traffic and the noise but we have been doing it this way for years now. It gets hot in the summer.
