Our shop is located at No 112 on Canal Bank Road in Adyar. If you find the Dominos Pizza, we’re just right behind it. It’s a handy landmark since most people know where that is. We spend most of our time dealing with air conditioners and various cooling systems. It’s dusty work, and there’s always a part or a tool lying around somewhere on the floor. Adyar is a nice part of town, though the Canal Bank area has its own particular smell sometimes. We’ve got a small team here. We go out to sites a lot, fixing things up for people who are sweating in the heat. When we’re back at the shop, we’re usually cleaning filters or testing motors. It’s a lot of manual labor and figuring out why things aren't blowing cold air like they should. The office part is just a small desk in the corner with a calendar that’s usually a month behind. We aren't polished professionals in suits; we wear work clothes that get stained with oil and dust. It’s just how it goes in engineering. People call us when their AC stops working, and we try to get to them as fast as the traffic allows. The road outside can be a bit narrow, making parking a real headache for the trucks. We just do the repairs, pack our bags, and head to the next job. It’s a steady rhythm that keeps us busy throughout the year.
