Geethanjali Music Group is located over on Peters Road in Royapettah. The official address is New No 24 Old No 257/1, and we are quite easy to spot if you are heading towards the Meer Sahibpet Market bus stop. It is a very lively part of Chennai, always something happening outside the doors. The market being so close means there is constant noise and people moving about, which actually fits the kind of work we do with music. We have been at this spot for quite some time now. Inside, it is usually a bit of a mess with instruments or papers lying around because we are always busy with something. We don't really go for that polished look you see in big city offices. It is more of a practical space where we can focus. Usually, there is some music playing or someone practicing in the back. The heat in Royapettah can be a lot in the afternoons, so we have the fans going full speed. People come in from the neighborhood to talk about music for their family events or local gatherings. We just take down the notes and see what can be done. It is a humble setup and we like it that way because it keeps us connected to the locals. We usually close up after the evening rush dies down at the bus stop and get ready for the next day.
