Gazebo Kebabs

You can find us at units 12 and 13 in Kailash Nagar, over in the Perumbakkam and Medavakkam area. We started this place because we just liked cooking good food. It’s a simple setup with grills and some tables for people to sit at. The evenings are our busiest time. Once the sun goes down, the smell of the kebabs starts drifting down the street and people start showing up. We spend a lot of time prepping the meat and spices in the afternoon. It gets pretty hot by the fire, especially in the summer months. We don't have fancy menus or waiters in uniforms. It’s just us and a few helpers making sure the food is hot and ready. Most of our regulars live right here in Kailash Nagar. They come by after work to pick up dinner for their families. We like seeing the same faces every day. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected if it’s a busy Friday. We just do what we can with what we have. It’s a noisy, smoky, and happy place to be. We aren't trying to be a five-star restaurant. We just want to serve a decent meal that doesn't cost too much. If you're around Medavakkam in the evening, you'll probably see the smoke from our grill and hear the chatter from the tables. We keep going until the last coal goes out.
