Our base is at Corium House on Harrington Road. It’s a well-known street in Chetput, and we’ve been at number 58 for a good while. Gaja Shoes isn't a place with a lot of corporate polish. We’re more about the actual work of dealing with shoes and leather. The building has a bit of character to it, maybe because it’s been through a lot of seasons. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and workspace. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone writing fancy mission statements. We just show up and get to work. The crew here is small. We spend a lot of time checking the materials and making sure the stitching is right. Harrington Road can be quite busy, especially with the schools nearby, so there’s always a certain energy outside. We like being in Chetput; it’s central and feels like home. Our day-to-day is pretty predictable. We handle orders, talk to suppliers, and manage the stock. Sometimes the floor gets a bit cluttered with shoe boxes, but that’s just how it goes when business is steady. We don’t try to sound like a giant multinational. We’re just a local shoe company doing what we know how to do. It’s practical, sometimes a bit messy, but it’s our living. We just keep our heads down and focus on the shoes, making sure everything is handled properly before it leaves Corium House for whoever needs it next.
